Dr. Sam Kratchman was born and raised in New York, U.S. He received both a B.Sc. in Biology and a DMD from Tufts University, Boston, Mass., U.S. He then entered the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, U.S., where he received a Certificate of Endodontics and currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Endodontics. He is also the Assistant Director of Graduate Endodontics, leading the microsurgical component of the program.
Dr. Kratchman also maintains two private practices, both limited to endodontics, in Exton and West Chester, Pa. He has authored several articles and chapters on Endodontics. He lectures on several areas of endodontics throughout the U.S., Europe, South America, Canada and Asia.
Furthermore, Dr. Kratchman has developed a patented instrument called the S-Kondenser, designed for use in the obturation of root canals. Both the Main Line Today and Doctor of Dentistry magazines have honored him as the cover story for their “best of” issues.
